ACT (Africa Christian Television) was established in 1989 by the African Evangelical Alliance in order to bring the Gospel to the French-speaking countries of Africa via TV. In these countries 44 million people have access to television. In cooperation with 3xM a television studio was built in Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast.
French speaking Africa encompasses 20 countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, The Comoros, Congo (formerly Zaire), DR Congo, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Gabon, Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Seychelles, Chad and Togo.
