Turkish Christian TV Programs Now Available on Internet!

From now on, Christian television programs produced in Turkey by 3xM’s partner, TURK7, will be accessible via the Internet.  Recently a Turkish website has been launched giving the viewer a variety of six programs.  “Thanks to this web presence, many more Turkish speaking people can be reached with the Gospel,” observes 3xM International Director, Martien Timmer.  “With the Internet, these programs are accessible worldwide.  Moreover, viewers can decide themselves when they like to view the program.”

High quality

The website, www.turk7.com is an initiative of TURK7, a Turkish Christian television producer.  “For three years I dreamed about this”, says a Production Manager of TURK7.  Recently, a man, whose attention was drawn to the website by a friend, wrote that his family watched the programs all day long. They have found it a very valuable source of information with programs of high quality.  His children enjoy watching these programs, as well.

Muslim culture

Even though there is official freedom of religion in Turkey, in practice, there is less tolerance towards Christians.  Thanks to the broadcasts via television and now via Internet, it’s possible for interested Turkish people to get to know about the Christian faith.  This program gives an identity to the small group of ‘invisible Christians’ in the country.  By looking at slices of daily Christian life, TURK7 helps to reduce prejudice against Christians.
