Christian television in Guinea-Conakry soon

Monday 23 January 2012 11:16

Our partner and contact person in this country are surprised and happy, since after many years the dream of broadcasts of Christian television seems to come.

Only a little while ago our partner wrote: “Considerable efforts have been made to make broadcasts possible in Guinea Conakry. All programs are ready for broadcasting, but due to the changes and crisis in this country, Christian television is still not possible here. However, we still have not given up all hope and continue to labor for a breakthrough.”

Broadcasts planned

The program manager of the national television company RTG now told our contact person that he is planning to start with the program series ‘Miel Mortel’ this month. The manager of RTG still has to sign the contract with our partner and they have to bargain about the costs of the broadcasts, but it looks good now!

Our partner starts the negotiations in a positive mood and with enthusiasm and we soon hope to receive the message that the first program will finally go on the air. By also broadcasting in this area, the potential range of the Christian programs in West-Africa will increase considerably. So many more people will be able to hear the gospel!

Guinea-Conakry

is six times the size of the Netherlands and has more than 10 million inhabitants. Of these people 85% is Muslim, 8% is Christian and 7% of the population adheres to a native religion.

We look up to God and expect everything from Him

We thank God for the possibility to broadcast Christian television programs here. Our prayer is that the negotiations will pass off smoothly and be positive so that many people in this country will be brought into contact with the gospel. Will you please pray with us?

'Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.' And with that he breathed on them and said: 'Receive the Holy Spirit'.
